Brain sending warning of what you might do.
I had a dream last night...
a dream about you.
Descended the stairs, from my place to yours.
You fed and sent away but I returned still empty.
And you understood then the meaning of my words
they made you angry.
You found a box to fit my head and put inside creatures of the dead.
There were spiders, snakes, and scorpions to sting my face.
The sand fell into my mouth and nose blocking the breathing.
I fell on the floor writhing and heaving.
You didn't free me until I was unconscious and disfigured.
Somehow vindicated in your treachery.
Testing for honesty.
And when you lifted the veil and saw the swollen features.
Arranged still with love etched in every surface.
You picked me up and took me to your bed.
Lay beside to ponder your worth.
